First of all, can I get a round of applause for the alliteration in the title! Dang I'm good!
Welcome to another week on WDA! Mondays can be rough but a little pumpkin-filled blog post can make everything better. I've been seeing a few of my fave bloggers do post's on all things pumpkin because well...'tis the season and you know what? I COULDN'T RESIST!
Call me "basic" but I only get to enjoy everything fall and everything pumpkin for about two months because Christmas fever sets in. And since I know I'm not alone in this, all friends of WDA are getting in on the "pumpkin craze."
Is it just me or have businesses gotten even more creative with pumpkin this year. I've come across a few things that made me cringe (pumpkin spice M&Ms, can we not please?) but others have me very intrigued.
First up, Spiced Pecan Pumpkin Pancake & Waffle mix from Williams Sonoma. Oh my LAWD these are delicious! You all know I'm a huge waffle fan (Leslie Knope is my spirit animal) so you know I was on the hunt for the perfect pumpkin waffle. I love making a whole batch of these then putting them in the freezer for an easy fall breakfast on the go!
This next one I picked up while I was in Blue Ridge, GA at one of those market/apple orchard tourist traps. #yougotme. This Pumpkin Pecan Honey Butter is perfect on toast or an english muffin for breakfast. I'm glad it was only a little one I picked up because this stuff is swwweeeeeeet! A little goes a long way.
(omg cute little bear. I'm a sucker for packaging.)
Obviously I'm a Starbucks PSL fan, however, I can't convince myself to spend $5 on my morning coffee EVERY morning. Enter my beautiful and lovely Keurig! Green Mountain Coffee makes an absolutely wonderful Pumpkin Spice K-Cup that is a perfect replacement for those "splurge" beverages.
These last three are from my recent Trader Joe's trip. They definitely stepped things up in the pumpkin department this year. I love getting their "Fearless Flyer" newspaper and prepping my trip. I can make my list and peruse the items before I entered the Trader Joe's jungle.
Recenlty I've been obsessed with granola and yogurt as my breakfast/afternoon snack. Enter Pumpkin Spice Granola. So good so gooooooooooood! Pumpkin? Check. Dried cranberries? Check. Nuts? Check. Perfect fall flavors.
Next Trader Joe's pick: Pumpkin Tortilla chips. Weird? I thought so too. Was I intrigued? You bet I was. Ummm. These are pretty much almost gone. They are light and crispy with the perfect hint of pumpkin.
And finally, my basic self couldn't resist: Pumpkin Spice Cookie Butter. In my mind this could have gone one of two ways. Absolutely amazing or BRB I'm gonna go vomit. Thank God for me it is AWESOME! It honestly still tastes like cookie butter but also tastes pumpkin-y! How? No idea, I don't ask questions.
And since I'm channeling all my energy into being a basic white girl this season (and I have no shame) I 100% dipped the pumpkin tortilla chips in the pumpkin spice cookie butter and have no regrets.
Well there ya have it! My pumpkin picks for this season! I'm embracing everything and laughing at all the pumpkin haters. What are your picks this season!?
