So I'm not gonna lie, I sort of lucked out with Friday being my day to post. TGIF riiiiight!? Hope you guys are enjoying the "new" WDA as much as we are!
I couldn't resist doing a fashion post as my first one because well... #fashionfriday. And I have to tell you I was dyyying to do a fashion post without so many dang layers! Winter? I'M OVER IT! I'm a Florida girl where is my scorching heat???
Thankfully a few opportunities for bridal showers, tea parties and general "spring" things presented themselves. So I jumped at the chance to sort of force a season change over here.
You guys know I'm not that adventurous when it comes to my wardrobe, I live in neutrals, but when you get invited to a tea party...you have to dress accordingly.
To say I am OBSESSED with this dress is an understatement. It's from one of my favorites shops, Francesca's, and I went in knowing full well they would definitely have plenty of tea party appropriate options.
So I started grabbing dresses and the girl working started adding stuff to my room too. I got to this dress (similar online) and asked her if she already added it, and she replied, "Oh yes, definitely that one's in there for you." It was the first dress I tried on and I walked out to show her and I think my exact response was, "So do I even need to try on any other dresses?" And she was like, "Oh my gosh no that's the one." AND I DIDN'T TRY ANYTHING ELSE ON!
It's cute and girly enough with the lace for me to wear to tea but "Porter" enough with the navy tank feel that I'm super comfortable! I'm just...I'm in love.
And the sea turtle approves. (When you see a giant sea turtle painting while you're doing a photoshoot...you don't hesitate. Pics with the turtle are a must...DUH!)
Oh yeah... I CHOPPED MY HAIR OFF TOO. Also obsessed... if you're debating cutting your hair I highly recommend it.

So maybe I'll be stepping out of my "neutrals only" comfort zone and trying some bright colors and patterns this spring! Guess you'll just have to stay tuned.
P.S. If you didn't get the reference for the title of this post...
