Pick one: a drink or your phone.

If there’s one thing that makes me cringe more than anything else, it’s waking up after a night of drinking knowing that my phone was in my hand the night prior.
Yup, we’ve all been there, DRUNK TEXTING I HATE YOU.

I’m definitely guilty of drunk texting in the worst ways possible. If I’m not your biggest fan for any reason, I’ll find the need to text you and tell you about it. An ex-boyfriend? I’ll most likely text you to tell you I hate you, or I miss you, neither of which make me feel better. If you’re my best friend, be prepared to get several “OMG I LOOOOOOVEEEE YOOOOOOUUUU” texts.

It always seems like a good idea at the time but when we will learn that nothing good can come of a text sent after 1AM?! All iPhones should really come with something that can prevent phone use after drinks have been consumed.

My friends always try to stop this before it gets too late! Sometimes they take my phone away, sometimes they remind me why texting that specific person is such a bad idea, they’ve yelled, they’ve honestly tried it all. But for some reason, drunk texting always prevails. There’s just so many consequences that come along with drunk texting, too. It’s like now on top of being super hungover, I need to deal with whatever I decided needed to be said the night before.

I’d love to tell you this is something I’ve gotten better at, but here is actual proof from just last month, that I have not. EEEEEK.

I’ve just come to accept that sometimes drunk texting is just a thing that happens. If we all ignore said texts, it’s like they never existed… right?

Why is it that we find the need to do this? Please tell me I’m not alone!!
it’s been fun,
