Who's Who?

Clancy
Hi guys!! I'm one of the two Jessicas here, is it weird that there's two of us? Not really, especially if you're a girl born in the early 90s, you get pretty used to it. Normally we go by our last names, just to make things easy for everyone. Anyway, hi you can call me Clancy! This is super exciting considering I read tons of blogs daily and I've wanted to start a blog my own for quite some time. Apparently that time is now! About me... I'm a city girl who now lives in Central Florida, HUGE CHANGE. Mostly I miss the public transportation, the change in weather, and New Jersey bagels.  I've been here for a little over two years (wow has it really been that long?!) but I still call New Jersey home and one day hope to move back up north. But for now, here I am so let's make the most of it! Recent-ish college grad with a degree in marketing that maybe one day will come in handy ... Maybe not, who knows. Until then, I use my days for binge watching way too much TV and planning out my future on Pinterest. I also like reading, napping, and all things beauty related. My life motto comes from a smart man by the name of Cal Naughton Jr, "I wanna be formal, but I'm here to party." Follow me along on this new adventure, it's bound to be interesting.

Brittany
The important things about my personal life are that I am a newlywed, recently married to the love of my life and new mom to the cutest little puppies that you ever did see!  As far as the answer to the dreaded question 'what do you do?' that information gets a little bit harder to articulate.  I graduated with my undergraduate degree in 2010 and am still trying to figure out what to do with it.  I mean, it's cute to be 'finding yourself' one maybe even two years after you graduate but four years later....it's not so cute anymore.  I spent a year in law school which was interesting to say the least, but it didn't take me long to come to the conclusion that it was not really for me.  Then I spent two years working random office jobs and now I am working on my Master's in anthropology.  After dodging the question 'what do you do?' for years because I was embarrassed that I didn't have any clear direction, I finally realized, with the help of my husband, that I don't think it really matters what I do.  I mean sure sometimes it is more difficult to explain to people that you are just looking for what opportunities will arise and experimenting with different things between one opportunity to the next, but I just decided maybe it doesn't matter that I am not climbing the corporate ladder, or that I'm not passionate about one particular thing.  I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with that, I mean I covet the paycheck that comes along with climbing that ladder,  as well as the security riding along with having one serious passion, but it's just not what I was made for.  I love to bake, to shop, to write and to read and I obviously love Netflix binging because who doesn't?!  We Dress Alright is a productive way to share the things I try and the things I learn in this long journey of figuring out what to do with my life, at every step of the way.

Porter
Hey everyone! It's Jessica Porter here, let's just go ahead and stick with my last name to skip any confusion. Besides, if it's what the baristas at Starbucks call me (and we're pretty much besties) then you should too! Ok one more time. Hey guys! Porter here! A little about me, well, I'm a year and a half out of college with a degree in relational and mass communication. Am I exactly using that degree at the moment? I meannnnn…not so much. But am I happy communication is what I chose to study? ABSOLUTELY! Basically I'm super interested in how people make connections with each other through culture. Social media? I'm all about it. Current fads and trends? I'm all about it. So a blog is the PERFECT outlet for me to discover more about these connections and share them with you! I love fashion, culture, baking (pie mostly), singing way too loud in my car, running (a recent development) and movies/television (when I first meet you be prepared to give an in depth list of your favorite movies and what shows you're currently watching). I'm so excited to be starting something new and sharing it with you guys. Hope you enjoy!
